１０年振りのニューアルバムをリリース、スティービー・ファンにとっては忘れることが出来ない年となった２００５年。この記念すべき年の、そしてスティービーのキャリアの集大成ともいうべき話題のライブが登場。
ファンの方ならばもうすでにご存知のことかと思いますが、11/9にロンドンのAbbey
Road Studioでおこなわれたスペシャルライブは、２時間にわたり大ヒット曲を惜しげもなく披露（娘のアイシャとの共演も）した素晴らしいものでした。本タイトルは、そのライブを抜粋した放送用音源を使用しており、文句なしのステレオ・サウンドボ

７０年代に発表した不朽の名曲群の輝きがまぶしすぎること、そして人権問題に正面から向かい合ったメッセージ性の強い楽曲が主体となっていることとが仇となって、８０年代のスティービーに対する評価はファンの間でも分かれるところとなっています。しかしながら、このDVDに収められた極上のステージを目にすれば「スティービーのピークは７０年代」というのは迷信であり悪夢であると再確認させられること必至です。「Happy
Birthday」ではこの日３９歳の誕生日を迎えたスティービーを祝うべく、シンディ・ローパーをはじめとした新進の後続アーティスト達がステージに所狭しと溢れ返り、憧憬の眼差しでコーラスを分け合います。男４０を前にしてもはや不動のカリスマとなっていたスティービーの姿に感慨一入です。
